When Is the best time to Install Sod?
The best time to install sod in Manitoba is anytime from mid-May through October, as long as you can properly water and care for it during its establishment. Sod can be installed in spring, summer, or fall, but success depends far more on maintaining consistent moisture in the root zone and topsoil, especially during hot or dry conditions rather than on the specific point in the sod season chosen to install.
If harvesting conditions allow and you’re able to keep up with regular watering, your sod installation is set up for success.
